Buda Castle

Buda Castle is located on Castle Hill diagonal from the parliament. The castle was built in 1265 by king Bela the IV.  The castle has being used be medieval Hungrarian kings to Nazis. Its is currently a museum and library.  The castle has being a big part of hungrarian history. It was used for the   coronation of  the last king of the Austro-Hungarian empire Charles the IV. During world war 2 major battles to places around the castle. It was the last strong hold in Hungary of the Nazis during the war. Due to the battles that took place around the castle there was  extensive damage.  Due to this damage the years from 1948 to 1968 where ones marked by heavy reconstruction efforts. The history of Buda Castle is much to vast for a blog post.
The view from the castle is just amazing. Clearly the view of the Danube is amazing. It also has a great view of the Parliament, and Saint Stephen's basilica.
