The Danube At Night

Nights in Budapest are just amazing. This view is one of the things that add to those great nights. The city is very safe at night, and very vibrant, there are people everywhere.

The Klotid Palace is located in one of the main arteries on Pest side of Budapest, it also located near one of the bridges. It is a hotel/bar.  It was the first building I saw after exiting the metro station. It was a great introduction to the city and its Austro-Hungarian architecture that is prevalent throughout the city.

Szechenyi Chain Bridge

Chain bridge at is commonly know, is one of the most iconic bridges in the world. It also a very important landmark  in Budapest. I will talk more about the bridges history in future post. The lions at both ends of the bridge are called the guardian lions. Modeled after lions found throughout england, they are meant to be protecters of the bridge and its guardians. The lions a very large and they tower over the pedestrian walk, which rally gives a sense of how  large powerful they are.
On the right side of this pic you can see a very large castle looking building, that is Saint Matthew's basilica. I would personal encourage people to visit chain bridge at night, there is something that gives it a more majestic feel.
