The Pediment Sculpture
The Acropolis
One of my favorite things from the Acropolis was the view!!! It was an amazing 360 degree view of Athens.
The Parthenon
The Parthenon has to be one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. It also has long and unique history. It was first used as a Temple to Athena, whom was the patron God of Athens. Also during that time the Temple was used as treasury for the Athenian government. Then it became a Christian Church dedicated to Mary, and final around the 1800s it became a Mosque. Knowing all of those facts and just how famous this building is, I was a little underwhelmed. It could because the building was full of construction cranes due to the fact that Greek government wants to make sure it is well preserved. Its an amazing building but I was a little disappointed, maybe I just picked the wrong time to visit.

Happy New Year!!!
hope all my readers had a great New Years Day. I hope this year brings you a lot opportunities to travel. I also hope it brings me those opportunities as well. If that does happen, I will keep you guys posted. My hope/dream for this year is to be able to go aboard again.
